Grandpa's Ear Revealed

Here is a picture of grandpa's ear after they finished with him on Sunday. They took out all of the stitches and he had a bandage on it still but he didn't like it so took it of. You can see where they took the graft from. You can't really see how his ear looks from the front. It is kind of dished on the outside edge.
Today we had to go to two dr. appointments and one trip to Office Depot. It took most of the afternoon and so we missed going to the Empty Nester's Family Home Evening and had some leftovers at home. It seems like we have three nights of leftovers after any time that I cook something. Such is life.

I'm glad he got the stitches out and it looks like he's healing well. We also had leftovers tonight. Tomorrow we will meet Annette and Mike in Salt Lake for dinner so I know we won't have left overs then...probably Wednesday we will finish the leftovers. It will either be stew or meatloaf.

I'm glad his ear seems to be on the mend, and (from what can be seen in the picture) it seems like it won't be too obvious once it's finished healing :) It's good to know that he's doing okay.

We're happy to hear that everything's going well with Grandpa's recovery. I had to laught about the bandage...just like him to disobey the doctors because he doesn't like it. Give him a hug from us and we hope you're doing well too.

Glad things are going well with Dad's ear. I had to laugh at Melinda's comment about Dad taking the bandage off. As for the leftovers, we're in that inbetween stage where we have leftover, but almost never enough for another dinner, only lunch for Dave & I. Be glad you don't have to cook every night! We need to get you some freezer containers. :) Dave is out of town, so if Emily feels better (she's been sick) we'll join the bunch with Annette for dinner in Salt Lake tonight.

I know you haven't been part of the blogging thing for long, but tags are a really fun way to play games with people who aren't able to be right there with us. I'm really hoping you'll come play with us! That said, you are on official notice that you've been tagged (by me) so the next step is to go to my blog to get the tag itself and it's instructions, copy them into a new post on your blog, and then tag someone else. I'm not sure who else you know will be left to tag, since quite a few family members have already been tagged. But I'd love to see your answers just the same!
